This is an opportunity for the schools in Statia to educate people to be a shoemaker. I wonder why this didn’t happen before. He/she will make a good business! There is a MBO education on Statia isn’t it?
How many shoemakers does a tiny island need? I think one should be enough, quite expensive to start a whole education for one job. We need a lot of people who are able to work with their hands, builders, carpenters, gardeners, plumbers etc. Those people we need a lot and for many years, if not forever. Let’s focus on that!
